ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS
Studio Kids provides the opportunity to experience the theater process from concept to performance. Students ages 5-12 learn the fundamentals of drama by exploring the script, characters, and background of a production, mastering basic choreography and polishing singing and acting skills. Our smaller cast sizes insure important roles for everyone. There are NO auditions at Studio Kids; programs are designed to allow every child to have their moment to shine. Our classes are taught by experienced teachers and actors. Our overall goal is to foster and encourage a love of theater, while emphasizing team-building and increasing self-confidence. The program ends with a fully produced musical on a stage for all your family and friends to enjoy.

Jamie grew up loving acting and singing, training in both since she was 8 years old. After finishing her undergraduate studies in English, Jamie moved to Los Angeles where she worked for both radio and television studios, inspiring her to return to school and revisit her love of theater. She received a masters degree in Theater and Media Arts from Brigham Young University. During her time as a graduate student, Jamie taught undergraduate courses in Introduction to Theater and Theater Great Works. She also enjoyed participating in BYU’s traveling children’s theater, Young Company, as a dramaturg for the production Cyrano and an actress for the production Grimm Tales. For her masters thesis, Jamie completed an extensive study on the experiences of child actors, conducting much of her research with former child stars in Los Angeles.
