Who We Are
Sienna Valadez
Owner and Director
Sienna has been performing since a young age. Theater has had a major impact on her life. She has mastered her craft through many voice, dance and acting classes. Her love of theater followed her through college, where she earned a BA in Theater and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Utah. Sienna has 3 beautiful children that keep her busy all the time. She loves spending time with her family, skiing, hiking, camping, boating and traveling. Her love of theater, combined with her education background inspire her to help children grow with Studio Kids. She looks forward to sharing her passion for theater with your child.
Jamie Shelley
Lead Director
Jamie grew up loving acting and singing, training in both since she was 8 years old. After finishing her undergraduate studies in English, Jamie moved to Los Angeles where she worked for both radio and television studios, inspiring her to return to school and revisit her love of theater. She received a masters degree in Theater and Media Arts from Brigham Young University. During her time as a graduate student, Jamie taught undergraduate courses in Introduction to Theater and Theater Great Works. She also enjoyed participating in BYU’s traveling children’s theater, Young Company, as a dramaturg for the production Cyrano and an actress for the production Grimm Tales. For her masters thesis, Jamie completed an extensive study on the experiences of child actors, conducting much of her research with former child stars in LA.
Kayla Carrter
Director
Kayla joined our team in 2023 and has been an amazing addition. She has a passion for theater and teaching children to love it! Kayla is happy to share her passion with children and hopes it will build their confidence and gives them a place to shine. She has extensive dance training and has taught dance for many years as well as private voice lessons. Kayla lives in Riverton with her husband and 4 amazing kids.
Lauren Carn
Director
Lauren has been involved in theatre since elementary school as a student in Studio Kids! She now studies at the University of Utah, earning her Theatre Teaching BFA. At the U, Lauren acts as VP for Open Door Productions, a student-run theatre production company, and Partner Liaison for Arts for Youth, where she teaches a weekly visual-arts class. Lauren is involved in all fields of theatre, working as a Prop Master for CCHS. Her play, Consolation Prize, was selected for the New Works Reading Festival through ODP and the U’s Department of Theatre. Lauren also holds the title of Miss Draper 2022, where she advocates for arts education through her platform, You Will Be Found: Improving Mental Health Through the Arts.
Carly Mugleston
Assistant Director
Carly has been working as an assistant director with Studio Kids for the past 5 years. She is creative, organized and kind. She has two beautiful children and a wonderful husband that keep her busy. Carly loves theater and helping keep Studio Kids organized.
Sienna Angerbauer
Assistant Director
Sienna is an amazing assistant director. She has been working with Studio Kids for the past 3 years and has helped choreograph and direct 6 of our shows! Sienna has helped teach, build props/costumes and choreograph our shows. She is a senior at LPHS this year where she is a member of 3 different companies (acting, productions and musical theater). She hopes to attend college to obtain a degree in teaching and theater. She is an amazing person and has a strong passion for theater education.
